pre treatment info

ALL PROCEDURES:

  • Permanent cosmetic treatments normally require multiple treatment sessions. For best results, you will be required to return for at least one retouch treatment between 6-8 weeks after the initial treatment.

  • Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment. This will subside and become lighter as the tissue heals. This process can take up to 14 days.

  • Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, it is advised that you do not make social plans for the same day.

  • Please wear makeup or bring a photo of how you normally wear your eyebrows on the day of your treatment.

  • A sensitivity patch/scratch test will be performed unless waived upon request.

  • Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, coumadin or blood thinners for 3 days before and 3 days after your treatment. However you must not discontinue your medication before consulting your doctor.

  • Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment.

  • No caffeine on the day of appointment.

  • For best results no tanning for 14 days prior and post procedure.

  • No workouts on the day of your appointment.

  • No retin-A, or heavy creams/serums before/straight after procedure.

  • You cannot be on any kind of skin antibiotics e.g. Accutane.

  • Please note! Any clients who have contraindications/medical conditions and are on medication will need GP referral. If you do not have GP referral we won’t be able to perform the procedure. Please Inform your technician of anything you think may interfere with your procedure!

For each treatment:

  • Any waxing/shaping/tinting should be carried out at least 10 days prior to your appointment.

  • It is not necessary you do this - I will shape your brows during the procedure.

  • Avoid botox 1 month pre & post appointment.

  • Please drink 2 litres of water a day for the week leading up to your appointment to keep your lips hydrated.

  • Use a good moisturising lip balm 2 times a day leading up to your appointment.

  • Exfoliate your lips on the day of your appointment to remove any dead skin to ensure we can tattoo your lips properly.

  • IMPORTANT: IF YOU SUFFER WITH COLDSORES/FACIAL HERPES: Please ensure you order yourself a prescription of: ACICLIVOR.

  •  Take these for 1 week prior and 2 weeks post treatment.
